From now on, all our work and usual blog posts will be published on the school's Facebook page. Please click the link to see what we have been up to lately.
Having finished our animal enclosures we joined the rest of Key Stage 2 in the hall to evaluate them. We shared things that we liked about each others and tried to offer some advice on how they could be made better.
This afternoon we caught up on some of the science that we missed last week because we were building our enclosures. We did two investigations. The first was hovering paper clips and the second was friction shoes.
We spent an hour on Friday finishing off our animal enclosures. Here are the finished products and we will evaluate them on Monday!
We spent Wednesday afternoon building our enclosures. We didn't quite finish them. We did though take time lapse videos of them to show how much work we did in one afternoon!
We have used iMovie to narrate our Literacy recounts from our trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park. We then added text and animations to the videos to enhance the experience.
This week we learnt about centripetal force, inertia and velocity by spinning full cups of water round our heads. Fortunately nobody got wet!
We have spent a few weeks in PE learning a Bhangra dance ready for our Key Stage 2 performance this afternoon. Here we are in our final rehearsal this morning. We won't be wearing our animal outfits during the proper performance though!
Today we got all dressed up for Wear it Wild day. We brought in cakes in order to try and raise money for tigers.
On Wednesday, Zoolab popped in and showed us some animals that might be found in the rainforest to help us with our topic.
