Here are our Gaudi plates that we have been working on. We are moving onto Science next with our topic about forces.
Today we took part in a special assembly with two drummers that wowed us with their talents. Then, after break, we did our own DJing using Incredibox We looked at the rounds of 8 and 4 and how the beats change depending on the new rhythm that is added. We then created our own pieces by editing, adding and taking away elements from the tracks. Some children even decided on their own DJ names!
Here are all our attempts.
Today we carried on with our Antoni Gaudi style plates - here are some examples.
Here are some photos of us doing our own, we hope to have them finished on Wednesday.
It's Tuesday and that means PE in Class 5. We continued our practise for the up coming gymnastics tournament. We thought this was excellent this week. Mr Dale may also have been spotted doing a cart-wheel or two!
Here are our Star Wars setting descriptions, we used the full version of the picture above as our inspiration. (Please visit http://www.starwars.com/the-force-awakens to see it.) We hope you enjoy them (and that they uploaded correctly!)
Mr Dale has been in his element in Literacy this week as we have been writing Star Wars setting description using the Star Wars official site's Planet Jakku 360 panoramic viewer. We hope to audio record all of our writing but to whet the appetite here is Libby's. (Mr Dale hopes to carry on Star Wars Literacy next week as well!)
Today we looked at La Vuelta (The Tour of Spain) and described what the stages of the race would be like for the cyclists taking part. We looked especially at the type of terrain and whether the stages would be hilly or flat.
Yesterday we started to practise for the gymnastics competition in a few weeks. We thought this attempt was amazing to say she had never seen the routine before and taught herself it in about 20 minutes!
Today we started our topic on Spain by looking for facts and working on our search engine skills with Google...
