On Wednesday this week we learnt more about friction. We stuck two books together by intertwining pages and tested which of our shoes had the most grip and therefore the least friction. It started to get rather smelly when the adults offered their shoes up for testing.
Fantastic job everyone on the "Create a Wild West Wanted Poster" homework. They look brilliant in our display.
To honour the soldiers that died in wars, this week we have made poppies to lay at the memorial stone both on Towles Field and at our own memorial in school. We used adjectives to describe war and other aspects of the life of a soldier such as "hero" or "brave". Some of us wrote down the names of the soldiers from the village in an effort to honour their sacrifice and some even wrote short poems on their poppies.
Today we were extremely brave and attempted to spin water in cups round our heads without it falling out. We then edited the videos using iMovie, Mr Dale gave us free reign over how we could present it. Next week we will discover the science behind it all! Some of us got a bit damp!
